One of the part that is important in a character is a pair of eyes. Even I had a hard time coloring it. Every people has their own style of coloring the character's eye. Some of them are willing to share their process of coloring character's eye. In this article , you can find some artist share their one-page tutorial on drawing and coloring eyes, even though mostly the tutorial is in Japanese. I have actually tried to follow one of the tutorial in the article, since I have found the translation. Despite the difference, I still can follow the tutorial even though it is not as accurate as the tutorial. Here is my example of the artwork following the tutorial: (close up) After following this tutorial, I was thinking of following another 2 tutorial of drawing and coloring eyes using slightly different method. I hope I will find some time t...

There are many illustration that been posted every day, although mostly the illustrators are Japanese. This is because pixiv is actually Japanese online community for artists. But there are some people who are not from Japan. Among all of the famous pixiv illustrator, there are 5 artist that caught my interest with their unique style of drawing. 1. 堀泉インコ She has a very cute and innocent type of drawing. If you check her pixiv , blog or twitter , you can see a lot of girl illustration. Even her coloring looks feminine and gives out a 'shoujo' feelings. These are two of my favorite illustration of her: 2. Rella Rella is one of the most famous pixiv artist. She has a unique way of her illustration compared to others. Her idea of the illustration is like out of the box: something that I can't even imagine thinking about it. In the interview , she said that she use...
